About this Website

The purpose of creating this website is to share my expertise and experiences , as well as other free resources and information to anyone who wants to work in cyber security or already is. It is my hope that anything I share here will help you in acquiring new skills, advancing your career, or enhancing your life in some manner.

Who Am I?

My name is Miles. I have worked in Information Technology since 2010 and in Cyber Security since 2021. I currently work as a Security Operations Analyst. My interest in computers and technology goes back to middle school, and I have been the designated as the "tech person" in my family for as long as I can remember.  I have several certifications including CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA CySA+. I am experienced with things such as incident response, endpoint detection and response, email security, open source intelligence, vulnerability scanning, operating systems, python scripting, technical support and more.

My interests outside of work include video games, spending time with my dog, going to concerts/music festivals, going to comedy shows, going to nerdy conventions/events, collecting offline media (such as blu-ray and vinyl records), exploring Chicago and getting tattoos. My music interests include Blink-182, All Time Low, My Chemical Romance, The Used,  Baby Metal, Bring Me The Horizon, Green Day, Hanabie., Motionless In White, Fall Out Boy and more. My favorite shows include Mr. Robot, Doctor Who, The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, Silicon Valley, How I Met your Mother, Black Sails, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Firefly.
